Made My Date’s Top 10 Romantic Beer Gardens

In the summer months, we all love a good meal or a few drinks in a Beer Garden and believe it or not some of those Beer Gardens are also Uber romantic and perfect for a date!

Here are the Top 10 Romantic Beer Gardens perfect for a summer date with your special someone…….

  1. ) The Avalon:

A South London Pub run by 3 local boys that is well-known for its award-winning ales and famous steaks and burgers. This is a great place for a relaxed lunch date where the menu is simple but the experience is anything but! They are also an establishment with ethics as they source much of their produce locally, using free-range chicken and pork and sustainably sourced fish. A great home grown lunch date venue for you both to enjoy in their beautiful, heated and covered courtyard gardens. 

  1. ) Flat Iron SquareTanqueray Summer Garden Takeover:

For this summer only, Tanquery have taken over the gardens at Flat Iron Square and bring you a whimsical, floral affair reminiscent of the Sevillian countryside but right here in the heart of London! Think instagrammable spots, a gin tasting journey around the world, and a delicious selection of mouth-watering foods from their on-site traders all in a uber cool, relaxed environment perfect for a casual drinks date with your bae. 

  1. ) The Angel Inn, Bowness:

The perfect little getaway for you and your love to enjoy the sunset over Windermere whilst enjoying a nice cold drink and a plate of the finest Cumbrian pub fare. To make your time there even more romantic, be sure to book a table in their beautiful garden terrace in the early evening whilst enjoying their open fireplace. 

4.) The Prince:

As far as beer gardens go, the Prince is one of the greenest and prettiest in the heart of London. It boasts a lively, fun atmosphere within its four restaurants, three bars and it’s covered woodland garden complete with a retractable roof top! This is definitely a great choice for those looking for a relaxed beer garden atmosphere but that is a bit of a show-stopper sure to impress your date!

5.) The White Swan, Twickenham:

Nestled on the banks of the Thames in Twickenham, this is a beautiful, traditional pub dating back to the 17th century, and the beer garden is right next to the riverbank making for perfect views as you dine with your loved one! A great place for a full day out with your partner as you can easily pair up your visit to The White Swan with a visit to the Orleans House Art Gallery that is a stone’s throw away from the pub. 

6.) The Lawn Club, Manchester:

Settled in the heart of the Spinningfields area of Manchester, The Lawn Club, is uber chic and uber adaptive to all sorts of social gatherings. Their Lawn Pods and Lawn Houses are perfect for an alfresco but intimate date night with your someone special. A great selection of food, cocktails and spaces to enjoy together in the summer months. 

7.) Ugly Butterfly, Cornwall:

A great location for locals and for those teaming it up with a day trip or weekend away in St. Ives. With breath-taking views of the Carbis Bay, Cornwall; this is a great spot to impress your date! Chef Adam Handling converts locally sourced, quality ingredients into beautiful and flavoursome dishes that will be sure to leave you and your partner in awe of this date night! It will definitely be one of your fondest memories together yet! 

8.) The French Table:

Think contemporary french cuisine in a relaxed, comfortable setting located in the leafy suburb of Surbiton in South London. Run by husband and wife team, Eric and Sarah Guignard, since June 2001; this quaint little restaurant is hugely popular with locals and visitors and was even nominated for ‘Best Local Restaurant’ by Timeout in 2002. A small, intimate location perfect for a romantic dinner date with a difference. If you want to continue the experience further, they also have a take away afternoon tea offer to enjoy together at a later stage.

9.) The Albion, Islington:

The Albion is seeped of creeping wisteria vines, old Georgian charm and very decent wine list, this walled beer garden halfway between Upper Street and Caledonian Road is one of our favourite places to drink in the summer. Save room for a bite to eat; the food here is not to be missed.

10.) The Magic Garden, Battersea:

Nestled in the heart of South West London near Battersea Park, this restaurant and bar is organised by a community of festival-goers, foodies and DJs offering a festival vibe in a pub. This is a cosy, relaxed environment perfect for a quirky couple’s evening date together for a fun, chilled vibe!
